Rotary Tank Cleaning | Motor Drive

PNR offer a selection of motor driven, rotary CIP tank cleaning heads.

SINGLE AXIS HEADS / MOTOR DRIVE (& positive drive): Motor drive tank cleaning heads work differently to reaction drive models. The turning motion of the CIP tank cleaning head is driven by a motor within the body enabling for a low speed rotation of the nozzle. Designs using a motor that is driven by the water passing through are referred to as motor drive. Motors powered by electric or pneumatic are referred to as positive drive. The lower rotating speeds of these models means that jet streams remain full and are not broken up into droplets by the centrifugal force. This means that the full impact force of the jets energy is directed at the tank surface.

UBA motor driven rotary CIP tank cleaning head from PNRUBA tank cleaning (CIP) spray head cleaning patterns

UBA tank-cleaning heads: These motor-driven CIP (cleaning-in-place) wash heads use a simple friction motor (driven by the passing water) to slow the rotation down allowing the jets to work at maximum efficiency without any broken droplets – resulting in a high impact force. Rotation speed varies  depending upon feed pressures (between 5 and 12 rpm). The spray jets emanate around a vertical axis that result in a very effective clean. Available in two sizes ¾” and 1 ½” female threads, and in two different spray coverage patterns 270° down or 360° full coverage. Materials: Body and sphere 316L Stainless steel | Bushings E1 PTFE | Motor ring E1 PTFE

UBG motor drive rotary tank cleaning head. Driven by electric or pneumatic (air). PNRUBG motor drive rotary tank cleaning head with 360 degree cleaning coverage.

UBG tank-tank cleaning heads (positive drive): Powered from electric or compressed air motors which are located outside of the tank with only the shaft protruding inside. The cleaning works in the same way as our other motor driven heads; the jets remain intact due to the rotation of the head being slowed by the motor allowing maximum impingement on the tank/vessel surface. These motor types are capable of pressures up to 250 bar and capacities to 80 litres per minute, although this depends on the capacity of the nozzles fitted to the spray ball. Shafts are available in 1.0 meter, 1.5 meters or 2.0 meter lengths.

1. Electric / Air driven options
2. Powerful
3. 360° spray pattern coverage
4. 316 stainless steel mechanical parts
5. 0-150° Celsius rated temperature
