Full Cone Nozzles
Full cone or solid cone spray pattern nozzles are popular for cooling applications but are diverse and can be adapted for all kinds of uses. PNR offers a variety of spray angles from 30° to 120° manufactured in brass, stainless steel and some plastics (depending on the nozzle). They are available in various thread sizes, flange fittings and tip arrangements.
Standard full cone nozzles (Turbulence nozzle): With this design the spray pattern is created by the design of the vane inside. The design of the vane creates a high speed rotational action inside the nozzle creating the full cone spray pattern.
PNR AA series full cone nozzles produce an even spray pattern. These nozzles are good in areas with restricted space as they are 35% shorter than conventional full cone nozzles. The AH series of full cone nozzles is commonly used in the steel industry in the continuous casting process, but can be adapted to other applications such as dust suppression. PNR’s ALQ (60⁰), ALU (90⁰) & ALW (120⁰) full cone nozzles are cast nozzles with an integrated s-shaped vane. The vane design offers a large free passage which can handle suspended particles in the liquid to the width of the nozzle orifice diameter. The AT series nozzles are a tangential or right angle full cone vane-less nozzle. They are less prone to clogging and produce a good atomised effect. The PNR BA (male thread) & BC (female thread) range are full cone spray nozzles consisting of a body, vane and nipple (3 piece nozzle). They can be easily taken apart for cleaning and maintenance and the internal x-vane is resistant to clogging. The BF & BH full cone nozzles from PNR are two-piece full cone square pattern spray nozzles. These nozzles are ideal where even coverage is required. Available in low flow rates up to extremely large flow rates depending on whether 60⁰ or 120⁰ and in thread sizes from 1/8″ to 6″ (again depending on thread type and spray angle). The BE & BG full cone spray nozzles are similar to the previous BF/BH nozzles but these are round spray. Flow rates do not go as high and spray angles are available in either 45⁰ to 120⁰ (pressure and flow rate depending). Also in the B series range we offer the BE / BL full cone spray nozzles with the internal x-vane design. These are large flow rate versions giving a uniform distribution spray pattern. Most of these are only available as a 90° with one flow rate available in 120° spray angle with a 4″ thread. Our BR / BU range produce a narrow angle full cone spray pattern with course droplets. These spray nozzles are available in 15° and 30° spray angles. The BV/BW full cone nozzle is another tangential or right angle spray nozzle. The specially designed X-vane within this nozzle creates fine droplets with spray angles of 60° or 120°. Our BX/BJ full cone nozzle tips produce a nice uniform spray pattern. These nozzles fit into a body and cap configuration (bodies with a 3/8″ thread). Multiple full cone spray nozzles (Turbulence Nozzle): This type of full cone spray pattern is formed from a series of narrow cone spray patterns spraying together. This design produces a wide-angle full cone pattern with fine atomised droplets.
The CHZ / CHE & CAS / CAY series of nozzles are all wide angle full cone spray nozzles. Referred to as cluster nozzles because they have multiple nozzle orifices within the one nozzle head.
The CHZ/CHE nozzles have several full cone nozzles threaded into the body achieving spray angles of either 200° or 360°.
CAY / CAS versions have the nozzle chambers engineered into the body and achieve spray angles from 70° and 130° . CA heads are excellent for producing much finer droplets than a conventional full cone nozzle.

The PNR D series of full cone spray nozzles are our most popular nozzle type within the full cone range. Standard flow rates or standard capacity nozzles in this range fall into the codes DA (1/8″), DB (1/4″ ), DC (3/8″, & DD (1/2″) and come in spray angles of M (45°) / Q (60°) / U (90°) & W (120°). Spiral full cone nozzles (Impact Nozzle): Categorised as a full cone spray nozzle, the spiral nozzle design is actually a series of hollow cone patterns in sequence which produces a full cone effect. This design offers resistance to blocking and is an ideal choice in those applications where safety is the prime concern, e.g. fire fighting systems, and also in gas scrubbing applications where nozzles are difficult to access.
PNR’s spiral nozzles are categorized by our E series of full cone nozzles. Spiral nozzles offer an excellent choice where blockages are a problem due to their wide free passage and are virtually clog resistant. They are common in gas scrubbing and fire fighting but have many industrial uses. This range offers a choice of spray angles from Q (60°) / U (90°) & W (120°) and also 150° and 180° and in standard flow rates all the way through to larger flow rates.
